Have you ever wondered why some people just seem to blissfully glide through life like nothing has any effect on them...while others aspiring to huge hopes and wonderful dreams never seem to accomplish anything?

Actually the reason that this happens is quite easy to understand.

The driving factor behind it is simply mindset

Look at this example.

Suppose that you have two very different people earning $70,000 per year right now. That is really not too bad for the average citizen in the United States, but when you think about it, in the scheme of things, that is really not much money at all.

Each of these people makes a New Years Resolution and set a goal to earn $200,000 the very next year.

Once this goal is set, the negativity devil will start to burrow into the mind of each person. The negativity devil is crafty and will begin playing mind-tricks on you, trying to convince you that the goal is impossible to meet.

The big difference is what happens within each person after the negativity devil shows its horns.

Winners simply swat the negativity devil as if he were a pesky fly. Even though winners might think "Wow, that sure looks difficult, lets find a plan to make it work."

Loosers become best friends with the negativity devil. A loser might say to the negativity devil "You're right, its too hard." I can't earn that kind of money next year so why try? Absolutely no way!In the End it All Boils Down to Mindset.

In my mind, EVERYTHING in your life comes down to your mindset.

That is why it's so critical.

Scenario One: There is a customer who loses it and tells you that your company is the worst business that he has ever seen.

How do you handle it?

You could.

A.) Paste a smile on your face accepting the criticism but attempt to divine if there is any validity to the comment and move on not letting it get to you or change your mood for the rest of the day

B) Let your day and mood be ruined, lowering yourself to the same negativity and low self-esteem that is the cause of your customer’s comments, and then blame him for ruining your day.

Is the difference clear?

Scenario 2: Business is a little slow. Money is kind of short and you have bills to pay. More money seems to be the major topic of conversation with your spouse. You begin to think about going back to a job in order to have more money.

What do you do?

A) Just give up, forgetting about your dreams and take the easier road, saying to yourself "The guys who made it in this business must be the lucky ones."

B) Take a short 30 minute break to sit alone, in complete silence to contemplate how you got into this situation anyway…then start brainstorming for ways to get out of the financial hole you are in and begin to prosper?

Do you see the difference in the approaches you can take?

Though it is not always apparent, there is always a silver lining to everything that might happen to you. Take my own life for example, when I look back over the things that have happend, there is not a single event that did not teach me a valuable lesson that I could use later in life.

Whether it’s going through tough financial times, saying the wrong thing to my wife at the wrong time, or whatever the case may be… it doesn’t matter.

All that matters, is how you handle it.

How are you doing on that?

Is there an event that recently happened in your life that you could have handled better?

Hey, we are humans and we are not perfect. I have a habit of messing things up EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE. You are only going nowhere if you are not learning from these mistakes and growing as a person from them.
